Words women use

« on: Today at 06:45:58 AM »

Fine

This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

***********

Five Minutes

If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour.

Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

***********

Nothing

This is the calm before the storm. This means "something" and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with "nothing" usually end in "fine".

***********

Go Ahead

This is a dare, not permission, DON'T DO IT!

***********

Loud Sigh

Although not actually a word, the loud sigh is often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing".

***********

That's Okay

This is one of the most dangerous statements that woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

***********

Thanks

This is the least used of all words in the female vocabulary. If a woman is thanking you. Do not question it, just say you're welcome and back out of the room slowly.

Top 10 ways to inspire others to be their best.....

We all know people who are inspiring. But just how does one inspire others? Here are ten simple ways you can inspire people to be their best:

Be a good example. People watch what you do more than they listen to what you say. Be someone worth emulating.

Care about others.

People don't care about how much you know until they know how much you care. Ask questions. Take a genuine interest in people.

Encouragement
.
Everyone goes through tough times. When you support people and encourage them through these times, you'll be inspiring them to see the best in themselves and in the situation.

Be inspired yourself.

Look for people, ideas, environments and knowledge that you find inspiring and motivating.
Share from your own experience.

You have more to share than you realize. Mine the rich experiences of your life and share your wisdom from your unique point of view. You may be the only one who can touch someone with your inspiring message.

Be vulnerable.

Be willing to share your failures as well as your successes. Others will relate to you. They'll understand that they're not the only ones with challenges.

Tell stories.

Facts tell and stories sell. They inspire, too. We learn best from parables and we all need to develop our own inspiring stories.

Be a good communicator.

Increasing your ability to communicate effectively is a critical element for you to inspire others. Watch how you speak and what you say. Invest in your communication skills.

Challenge people.

Many of us have had teachers who at times seemed more like tormentors than mentors. They challenged us to do our best, and we were better for it. Practice "care-frontation"— the careful and caring confrontation of others.
Read.

It may not follow that all readers are leaders, but certainly all leaders are readers. Stay informed. Share what you read with others. Tell people about books that have inspired you. Share the knowledge.

Women Secretive About Their Finances
Arab News —

JEDDAH, 1 February 2008 — In a growing fashion across the Kingdom, bank workers report that many Saudi women, fearing unscrupulous husbands or male relatives who may squander their wealth, open bank accounts either without giving home addresses. Such women generally open saving accounts and are unwilling to provide their postal addresses in their applications, leaving only a telephone number, according to a recent report in Al-Jazirah newspaper.

“Many Saudi women of different ages refuse to provide their postal addresses and ask us not to send them monthly bank statements. They also refuse to take cash cards saying their accounts are only for saving,” said Nuha Al-Jeelan, an employee at a local bank, adding that such women visit her bank in person and query about their accounts.

“We mustn’t be surprised at instances of women having bank accounts without the knowledge of their male relatives. It happens often. These women are secretive about their finances because they don’t trust their husbands and brothers,” she added.

Hanadi, 28, said she took out a secret savings account after her brothers continued borrowing money from her and refused to pay her back. “My brothers keep squandering my wealth; all the money they take from me is spent on their wives and kids, and they don’t take into consideration that this money belongs to me,” she said.

“I have three lots of income coming to me in a month totaling SR19,000. This is why my brothers bug me for cash. I’ve got a savings account to save for the future and I’ve made sure my brothers don’t find out about it,” she said, adding that she has included her friend’s postal address in her application.

Hayat Al-Otaibi, 24, has two bank accounts — one that her family knows about and another secret one for saving. “My sister insisted that I open a second saving account. She said it was important I saved money. She told me that this money is for the future, and that I have to hide this account from my husband,” said Al-Otaibi.

“Many women don’t trust their husbands. Men could just go and marry another woman any day,” she said, adding that she has been able to save a hefty amount of money.

Thousands of campesinos march against NAFTA in Mexico

MEXICO, January 31.—Thousands of campesinos marched through the country’s capital, demanding the renegotiation of the agricultural chapter of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the removal of the section referring to corn and beans, reported AP.

Thousands of campesinos march against NAFTA in MexicoSupported by trade unions and political groups, farmers and rural workers from various states around the country marched to the capital’s central plaza, the Zócalo, shouting anti-NAFTA chants and carrying placards bearing slogans demanding equitable policies in order to be able to compete with producers in the United States and Canada.

The agreement came into force in 1994 and on January 1, 2008 tariffs were lifted completely on the last products to be protected within the agreement: white corn, beans, sugar and powdered milk.

Campesino organizations have complained of the asymmetries between agricultural producers in Mexico and the United States and also that the U.S. government awards significant subsidies which are incomparable to those received by Mexican campesinos

The Queen of My Heart

Pains of labour only mother would know
To bring forth her new born God’s creation bestowed
With tender love and care she cuddled me to bosom

As I crawled and struggled to take my first footsteps
What joy would have radiated on mother’s dear face
To see her precious bundle grow before her very eyes
Remembering the infant’s bubbly gurgles and squeaky little cries

As years rolled by she taught me right from wrong
Mother’s knowledge and discipline have made me very strong
With her loving words of advice, I now stand on my own
The ladder of success I’ve reached with the guidance she has shown

Mother Dearest, as you enter the twilight years of your life
With love and gratitude I’ll do all I can to be at your side
Thank you mother for all you’ve given from the very start
You are and will always be Mother the queen of my heart!

FLOOD AND MUD........
« on: Yesterday at 06:44:35 AM »

(In the background of devastation of rural areas by the cyclone. At least 22,000 dead,41,000 missing, 1 million homeless in Myanmar)

The fast moving wind, by cutting from the soft chest,
Made thousands of trees extinct and impotent.
The intrigues of violent and ruthless air...
Distorted the shapes of the doors and the balconies,
And made thousands of windows of the evening,
Lampless and insecure.

These settlements, these pathways,
Are in the lap of ruins even today....
Unaware of the light and glamour of modern ways,
Made from wood and grass, water and mud, mixed together.
All the houses are devoid of light and colour...
Carrying the stricken dust of so many years.
The erection of any house knows not the dignity of art.
That's why the hands of artist...
Were never sold, were never amputated.
This is another thing.....
That the furious eyes, wherever they stayed,
Sanctity of many bodies and souls,
Became the food of soil.

On the grace of wind, water, soil and sun....
Everyone's life is tied hinges.
If they became gracious,
A few happy moments stayed to kiss their thirsty soul.
If these blessings ever get annoyed.....
A lot many countenances longed to see.
Decadence of life became the milestone of travelling,
And the taste of salt, stayed between eyes to tongue.
The foam of seas.......
Trampled the coasts and scattered.

A Body with out a Soul

Heart is running through everywhere
Searching worldly satisfaction
I know it is none other than
Your adoration
Every moment it fills
My eyes with tears
Coz now you have become the
Adherence of mine

You came in to my life
As sun came to the world
You were the sunlight
To my dark and gloomy world
You taught me to love
And showed me love
You taught me to live
And you gave me a life

But it seems like a dream
Your words put me again to darkness
Your words made me blind
You made me helpless

I can not take a decision
My life useless, exhaust, meaningless
No laughter and no happiness
Nothing to do, nothing to say and no way to hide
In this lonely world I have no one to speak my mind

How can I live with this pain?
Everyday in every minute I’m crying for you
Tell me how to live with out you?
Tell me how I stop talking to you?

Guide me to forget you if it’s possible
Please teach me how to live with out my soul?

Do you think am wrong?
Or this is unfortunate?
To happen again and again
Throughout my life to give this pain

Then why did you love me so much?
Why did you close to me that much?

The love for you will not become old
Coz you have built a palace of hope in my heart
I preserved it more than my eyes
Really you were the light of my life

Why did you refuse my love?
Why did you tell me to forget you?
Why did you tell me to leave you?

My love don’t you know that
With out you mean
I will be just a body with out a Soul…….

Dil ( written by me)

(There was a girl who loved so much to her best friend. She always felt that the real love through his eyes. But he refused her love. I just tried to speak of her feelings)

There is absolutely nothing that separates the elite from the paupers except their expectations. If you wish to rise above the masses, then let the fire burn fiercely within you. Do this, and it shall be done!."
