Supposed to be happy on my birthday, thats me
Yet mum, dad and my family are nowhere near me
Them so far away from me
Long years and counting, such is the length of time
Oh how I miss the warmth and smile we always share
Those are the things that always draw me close to home
That is where I belong and so I will return next year, when I return to that loving place

The comfort of living in Padank never numbs my desire to be home

El sabado pasado (12 de noviembre) completé una vuelta más al sol, acumulando un total de 26. Escribo sobre ello a posteriori porque, teniendo en cuenta que ando saturado con mi dichosa tesina, decidí que este fin de semana lo que tenía que hacer era desconectarme por completo de los ordenadores, y dedicarme unicamente a saltar de comilona en comilona y, en general, a hacer el vago. Y, por supuesto, hubo regalos… el mejor (y más interesante): trufas de absenta, preparadas ex profeso para mi cumpleaños :-)
Mengapakah kita harus menjadikan masa depan kita penuh pilihan?
Berikut jawaban saya:
Tiap langkah, tiap detik, tiap hela nafas kita dipenuhi dengan pilihan.
Walaupun kita dihadapkan oleh 1 hal, kita merasa tidak punya pilihan, tetap kita diberkahi pilihan, dan pilihan itu adalah akan kita pilih atau tidak.
Kita tidak sadar bahwa kita telah memilih..
Memilih untuk berkedip, melangkah, bernafas, berbicara, tidur, makan, minum dan masih banyak lagi kegiatan yang kita pilih.
Dan sering kita merasa bahwa apa yang kita peroleh atau rasakan sangat berbeda dengan pengharapan dan cita-cita kita.
Saya percaya, tiap pilihan pasti akan membawa kebaikan, entah kita sadari atau tidak.
Dari berbagai pilihan yang tak terhitung bagaikan butiran pasir di pantai, saya percaya bahwa semua mengantaikan kita pada 1 tujuan.
Dan tujuan itu adalah untuk kembali kepada-Nya.
